How to Reset your Leapster 2: Re-calibrating your Leapster 2

Ok. So I had to reset my sons Leapster 2 tonight, again. I have been having to do this quite often so I decided to include a post here so that I don't have to keep searching for the steps on the internet. Here are the steps I had to follow in order to reset the leapster 2.

 

1) Ensure that a cartridge is not inserted

2) Hold down the Hint (?) button while turning the unit on. (Key in middle with question mark on left hand side) Continue to hold the Hint button down until the LEAPSTER menu appears.

3) When the LEAPSTER menu screen appears, press the A button

4) Touch each of the crosshairs that appear with the stylus

5) Restart unit

Thank you so much for posting this. I was about to give up on the system and just buy a new one because it wouldn't go past the sign in screen. I threw away the manual. You just saved me $40.00. Thank you again!
