The Most Annoying Homeschool Question Is: How Do you Socialize Your Children?
Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 6:00AM This is the number one question that homeschooled parents get asked and it is often the most annoying. What is being suggested here is that the homeschooled child is some kind of solitary oddball who cannot relate to other (diverse) people, children and the external world. I think several authors are correct when they say that there must be some conspiracy in the public schools, where the teachers are training the parents and students, to be conditioned as a reflex to ask the question "How do you socialize your children", if they ever meet a homeschooler. I think the dialog goes something like this... "Whatever answer those homeschoolers give you just stick to your guns and keep asking them the same question 'How do you socialize your children?'. They will buckle under the pressure and then you got em." Ha ha ha... Anyway, check out these videos. This is exactly how most of these "How do you socialize your children" conversations tend to go.
